You can't be sure. Get rid of the attachment to that sort of security, wont do you good anyway. At least you found out. Has happened to me too, but I don't mind, its just life. Just fire them and search for better luck elsewhere.

sorry to hear of your troubles! Time and getting to know the person is the only way to tell. If someone has a very recent break up it is better to just stay friends for a long while because there is always a chance they will return to their previous relationship. but there are no guarantees. the more you talk with someone and spend time together the more you can tell BEFORE getting into a relationship whether they are right for you. The internet makes things seem simple, but I think it is actually harder to get to know a partner on here because it takes longer to meet in person and get to know much about who they really are.also unless there is an agreed upon commitment, you cannot expect someone to behave as though there is a commitment.... (I had that happen once with a man who expected me to be faithful to only him but he refused to commit to me or be faithful....crazy)...

Offer to shoot her Ex BF. IF she gets a bit nervous and upset, she's playing you. If she gets all happy and excited, she loves you. Just make sure you never split from her. That stuff happens I know it doesn't make you feel any better but you should be glad you found out soon .... Its sad but some people think they ready to move on after a breakup but never believe they will actually find someone and when they do .... Then they realized they are not really ready Coz they still haven't gotten over their ex .... I am not sure if she is a player or not but at least she had the decency to tell you and not string you along for you knows how long .....
