Pets of course - they seem to stick around longer than any relationship 
curly28: I had 35 miniature horses 2 big horses 2 dogs a cat
I ended up with six miniatures and geriatric horse 40 yrs old and the cat the rest of the stud was sold off he the ex kept a couple plus the dogs , then I needed to move back to the suburbs because I needed to work so sold rest of minis & I left the bush once the old horse passed away. I moved on it was the saddest time in my life ever I still miss the animals with all my heart Miss my old horse so much had him for 17 of his 40 1/2 yrs I will put his pic up Trigger R.I.P.

I really dont think I will ever completly get over life without my horses as you know Curly its worse when I still live on the farm.
As for my beloved dogs NO ONE would dare separate me from them as they are the reason I am still here, they helped me come to terms with the loss of my beautiful Thoroughbreds.

Thanks Curly the only difference is that you could have taken your little darlings to bed with you, the minis are so adorable.

I would hope I'd never be put in that situation.

I pets always came before my ex partner and he knew it
My boxer dog didnt like the cold and would sneak under the covers to keep warm and he would he would say, get the dog out and no way, if i said it was ok, she was staying there and he could sleep elsewhere
But sadly I still miss my pets I gave them up to come here and still get emotional from time to time and do wish they were here with me but I will always have memories.

My partner hates cats (he's allergic) ... tough... choose!!! no problem!! we now compromise, my cats stay outside when he's over, and he gets to come inside.. or he finds himself a new girlfriend that doesn't have cats... simple...easy peasy...
