I am a monist. To put it simply, I believe that there is one substance in our head-a brain.
You would be a dualist, which simply means you believe there are two substances- a mind and a brain.
I believe the body and soul are one of the same, the disintegration of DNA and neurons that store the informational patterns about us-our personalities, our memories- means the end of the soul. Effectively death is where it all ends.

DEAD means DEAD so I say live for the moment it's a short time we're here on this planet. Live for the moment
I believe there is something after death, what it is exactly I dont know, but I have seen it, but I refused to go.
No I wasnt high on drugs at the time but very sick, it was my choice to go or stay at the time and I chose to stay.

My idea of heaven... is that little star shining so bright in the sky at night - when I am dead, then I will think about it until then - I go to work, clean my house, socialise with my friends, and put my twopence worth on the internet... so there!!

Im afraid not. The law of everything in the universe has an expiry date. I remember once upon a time accidently overdosing and seeing all my dead relatives, being judged by couple off dudes and sent back, because I didn’t experience life for a long enough period. They said I needed another 44 years before I can come back and I think I was 14 at the time, So my end should be around 58 years of age. jem1964: hey Tone, please dont hold your breath waiting...

well i for sure arent in a hurry to expireThat's half the problem innit? All those who have passed away, died, moved on, can't tell us if there is anything after death so we have to seriously believe that there isn't anything for us after we take our last breath??

Of all the people I have known that have been and gone I can honestly say I have not had any 'visits' from them so I firmly believe that ashes to ashes, dust to dust ......
