I've been waiting for this movie for a while.

Basically I said this...

The bottom line (for me at least) is simple. I don't for one minute think we evolved from the sea like Darwin claimed.

But I do think we are some sort of a genetic experiment that gods let get out of hand and the gods can't control us any more (a bit like letting the genie out of the bottle..By then it's too late).

Take for instant the story of Noah and his Ark. Even today if there was a catastrophique event, we couldn't build a vessel to save two of each kind. But a DNA data base is another story. Probably more plausible.

Take a look at ancient egyptian hieroglyphs, some of their 'squibles' look very much like 'dna helical structure',..Even the Sphnix is a hybride..Not to mention the pyramids...

Talking about pyramids, even in South America the Aztec's/Mayans used them and they were 'worlds apart'...And the Mayans plotted the known universe as we know it today...

And if people think that crop circles are all due to someone with a straw hat, cardboard cut-outs to stop feet prints are down to someone drunk or friends having a laugh..Think again.

Most religions piss in the same pot, they all want to control. I'll admit a few don't. But they are nature based and concern protecting what we have.

Anyhow just my thoughts...

@ Celtic....

Why thankyou kindly for the compliment....
Looking back, there are some grammer and punctuation gaffs there, but writing is enjoyable, and the forums are as good a place as any to start...

@ Phoenix....

Er right!, more than enough to think about there, have you considered script writing for the movie industry?...
Id love to hear your opinion on "Inception" and its dream within a dream within a dream conceit....

Have a good evening guys...

AB...cheers...

Nexcare: Was afraid it'd be another one of those effects-galore-and-signifying-nothing movies. Should be a limit to brilliant directors' fundings :P

Hi Nex...

I could'nt agree more about the reigning in of director spends,

but consider the producer as being complicit here too...
Inevitably, with so much emphasis being put on visuals, story and script are getting shorter and shorter shrift...
Recent successes would be films that cross the commercial divide and capture the audience immagination, such movies as Source Code, Limetless, Chronicle and the wonderfull Cabin in the Woods managed to entertain while using tried and tested plot divices, yet the films didn't suffer from a lack of flar or story telling brio...
It comes back around to the thing of lavishing time on feeding the audience's mind and not just there eyes...
I mentioned earlier, District 9, perhaps worth reminding what an utterly superb film this is, crammed full with clever ideas and done on a budget (30 million) that would barely cover the craft services on a Michael Bay film...

Am looking forward to seeing this as I am a big fan of the Alien Franchise
Alien 3 being the weakest I think.

All out feedback...

@ MarsMan....

Agree with that post pretty much to the letter....
My own take on A3 was it was always going to have a tough time with Camerons "bigger, better, faster, more" filmmaking approach...
Fincher, whos previous work had been amoung other things directing Madonna videos was stepping into the bearpit, and just from my own perspective, the break away from the hyper-kinetic second installment to the slow burning claustaphobia of the 3rd was for me a brave and indeed welcome path...Kudos to all involved in what must have seemed like a thankless task...

@ Dreccky....

Good to see you back sir, was it a nice holiday?...
Anyhows, glad you found the review interesting / helpfull...
Youll see my reply to Mars regarding A3, if im honest, Promethius is for me the weakest film so far, but at the end of the day, its up to each viewer to reach there own conclusions...
In defense of A4, the cinimatography, framing and colour of the film where simply fantastic, very typical of director Jean Paul Junet (delecatessen / city of lost children), and the story was plausable considering its predecessor...

@ Phoenix...

Enjoy Inception my good man, And if you get it first time around, be gracious, dont bang off the walls saying only a muppet couldn't understand it...For I am that muppet d'ya hear!....
So far as Promethius is concerned, take a travel pillow with you, just in case!...

AB...cheers Guys...
