EagleWoman: Yep!! And on the other hand you don't want to eat just salads if you've been starving all day!
That's very true. I prefer to have my main meal at lunch time with a salad later in the day........not easy though with fitting that around work.

Wasn't that long ago British families would have a cooked breakfast....... later it was thought it wasn't healthy and the British cooked breakfast got a bad rap.......what it did do was carry you through the day.........it doesn't have to be heavy in fried food.

Yeah! True it does that! And then if people skipped lunch it wasn't such a big deal!

I still have 2 cooked meals a day, although the evening one might be a little lighter + breakfast + a snack or 2. I should be huge but seem to burn it all off!! grin

I'm not good with having a breakfast, my stomach doesn't wake early, I'll snack around 9-10 then try and have a decent sized lunch......

If I'm going through a salad stage then I'll eat a large bowl as soon as I get home, with a smaller one later in the evening.

Hope you like your salads hot, anything I can find to add heat goes in mine.......

I'm good for nothing till have done my exercises AND had breakfast!!! laugh

Hot salads ... hmmm

You ever tried Salade Lyonnaise?
It's a whole mix of different types of lettuce, chicory, dandelion, young spinach leaves, scarrole etc. with home made French dressing and at the last minute, just before eating it, you add fried chicken livers (can't be vegetarian for this one) and croutons!!
The bitterness of some of the lettuce leaves like dandelion and the livers are Yummy!!!

Seeing as I have refrained from my usual cheeky self tonight while chatting with you, I'll ignore the oppotunity to comment on the hot enough bit.

I'd happily drink a glass with you
