You mentioned that you are after an office job. To be honest I don't think your English is good enough for most office jobs.
I don't know how you go about getting into this country; you will need to do research on it, apply through the appropriate channels. If you have skills that are needed over here it won't be a problem.

You need a visa to work in Australia...
Look at our Department of Immigration Site.. the acronym is DIMA
It depends on whether you just want to come for a short time and do some work while you are here. Call it a working holiday. Got this from a migration website:

If you want to migrate permanently then you have to apply before you come over. You have to qualify for a certain number of points, eg English language skill, work skills, money. If you have lots of these, you will qualify.
If you want to come for a holiday but have no money you will find it very difficult. However, if you travel to the northern parts of Australia where the wheather is tropical, you can sleep on the beach as it never gets cold.

Check with the Australian Consulate there. Look on their London website first.

Skilled workers are in the biggest demand. Many people come here "highly qualified" but are not worth a rat's razoo. If you have any trade experience, you will not find a problem finding work.
Niece's partner from Ireland is a carpenter and he has a job that means he is doing well here.
