Of course there would be we have heaps here in little old Perth so a huge place like Sydney should be singles meeting in Sydney just googel and you should find them.
Also the local paper should have what's going on in your area re - singles and meets.

Used to be some very big singles nights in Sydnay, 400-600 people in the late 1990s/early 2000s. Friday nights were North Sydney or Cammeray (RSL) while Sat nights were a choice of 2 at different Clubs. Five Dock RSL had one fairly regularly although the better one did the rounds of Bankstown RSL, Revesby, Balmain Leagues, and a few other clubs I don't remember. Ring around the clubs and you might find somewhere. One was called Steppin Out Singles (yeah, SOS) but not sure if still going after all this time.
