galrads: Why not Europe, if no one else helps prevent further slaughter?
yeah like France initiated the "liberation" in Libya ??? There wouldn`t be much of a slaughter if foreign mercenaries aka the rebels wouldn't go around killing people oh and guess who is supplying them ...

Where is is there proof of Russia's claim that th U.S.A. is supplying arms to Syrian rebels? Whereas, it's obvious where Russian refurbished armed Russian military helicopters are coming from.

Proof??? yeah right they invite reporters and make contracts during arms dealing . The weapons had to come from somewhere its not like they bought it in a convenient store Russia doesn`t hide that they are supplying the Official government
galrads: They can do whatever any peace seeking country would do. Open up dialog with Russia and China would be a good start. IMHO.
The UK foreign minster has been back and forth to Russia, trying to do that very thing, Russia are adamant, no interferance. They would lose a safe port, and a huge arms sale if they did anything other than support Koffi Annans peace plan, which has little to no chance of doing more than photographing burial sites.

We are talking about crimes against humanity in Syria. Certainly the U.S.A. Isn't the only manufacturer or supplier of weapons. I myself own more Russian and European made hand and long guns.

okay, now lets say Im a arms dealer and I have some interest in Syria ,interest which implies the overthrow of the government. I would have to be the stupidest MF to use weapons that has my seal on it...

Why not go to Russia yourself, hold Putin at gunpoint and get him to sign up to the UN mandate, authorising action over Syria, without all 5 agreeing, nothing can be done unless the Arab states take it on themsleves to do so.

If you are saying the U.S.A. doesn't like to see crimes against humanity, you are correct. But, Russia has a selfish interest in Syria. Surely, someone in Europe has some rapport and influence in Russia and china that will help resolve things in Syria?

I only have guns fir self defense and sporting things and I'm not a politician, but I'll go and speak with putin at Europes expense and if you go too and back me up.
