Because he mentions that "if we got into a relationship, i'd only drive you crazy"...sounds like he is baiting her to prove him wrong or giving her a challenge (people like challenges, want what they can't have, so to speak)...maybe that is not what he is doing but that is what it sounds like to me

I respect how you have explained his "if we got into a relationship,i'd only drive you crazy",i think he is trying to tell her,"even in a relationship between us,you going to be hurt" so it sounds like a final warning to her,to leave him alone.

It was great reading all the comments here on my post. Thank you guys for your invaluable thoughts.....Yes, i did thank that Irish guy for his honesty. Life is letting your heart to take the chance and risk it all but to the right guy who is willing to do the same.

agree - I also think it was a cry for help - sometimes if a guy has had past issues with drugs or a record DWI or w/e and he'll tell you up front to see the reaction - if she can't handle it and can't give him credit for changing or trying to change he will tell her "no go" and he will look elsewhereso I also applaud him for his honesty - some guys don;t spill this info until - well never..
I have several male friends with minor violations who have or are trying to mend their ways - no reason we can't talk & be friends.
