texasgent222: Fellow posters, lol, seems this dude form Ireland may have been perpetuating stereotypes about the Irish and hitting the bottle heavily before he came here to post his little silly quips! Haha. I'm Irish-American so it's a damn shame to see my own racial stock partake of the poison that's killed so many of our kinsman! lol. I would ask if he's Protestant or Catholic but we don't want to open up that can of worms do we now Seamus? lol And my people years ago came from Belfast, Northern Ireland. So we know a thing or two about the argumentative Irish stock! But give it a rest already!!!
Hear hear Texas
A nice tread that 1 person has put a sour note on. What a shame.
I prefer the positive happier side of life. You get less frown lines and smile a lot more and see the good in life

Howdy to you down under! I watch a show on HGTV called International House Hunter and seems the couples on there are more times than not relocating to Australia! Awesome place to be!
Can you tell me some great places in Dallas that I can explore?? No DEEP ELLUM..a death trap!! lol DE was great back in the late 80's and got the tail end of the awesomeness in the mid 90's. I have family but not big on exploring like me. I know I caught a good sushi hang out on Lemmon Ave. before I went to a concert back in May.
Any cool suggestions? :) oh and your profile is genuine! Nice to see another Texan on CS.

Hiya in East Texas! Sometimes I go to visit friends in East Texas. Lake Palestine and Tyler mainly.
Cool places in Dallas are plentiful. Yeah I used to always go to Club Clearview, Club Dada and The Art Bar in Deep Ellum way back in the day when it was the hip place to be. Too much X and coke ruined that neighborhood.
Have you tried the West End? It is touristy but still a cool place to get a bite to eat and a drink. Plus they have the large aquarium down there now which is worth a see. While in downtown check out the arts district and the Dallas Museum of Art. There are other theaters, museums, galleries and the symphony complex there.
I personally love Uptown. Try McKinney Avenue and some of the eating establishments and bars central to there. There's also a historical trolley that runs down McKinney free of charge and will take you to the West End. Hitting those two locales in one day makes for a hip excursion.
Turtle Creek adjoins Uptown and is the most beautiful, scenic spot in Dallas and is right on the Katy Trail which is a fun hike if you've got the time and can go early or late enough to beat the heat.
After Uptown take a short few block drive up Lemmon Avenue to Uncle Julios and the best margaritas in Dallas. This is Texas you know so you have to have margaritas in the summertime! Smiles. Uncle Julios is famous for their Sangrias swirl margaritas. They're great on a hot, sunny day.
This is a very limited list of some of the things I like best about Dallas. There's so much more to do and see! Enjoy your trip here. Ken
