My brother used to run a ski-boat off the south coast of SA, and we dreaded storms out at sea, cause the compass would jump all over, and if we didnt sight land, we had not a clue where it was.
We relied on the bush telegraph for friends to gather at the launch site, with full headlights on facing out to sea, and we'd circle around until finding those pinpricks of light and head for safety... of course we had to wait till dark to find the land! while the storm raged. Those were the days!

Putting the snow chains on my car and driving on virgin snow into the middle of know where and turning off the engine..........wow...!! Heaven...!!
Well it's not really a yacht, but a huge ship.
