ie: I don't want to swim, walk, eat veggetables, read a book etc etc....

Or do you put your foot in the mud and say you're in my house and what I say goes, finished!scold

It all depends on what it is and how I rate it in the scheme of things...
I ask... and for good measure I'll even add please... sometimes you do have to put your footdown, curfew, going to school, I did my heels in with "your a minor and while leaving under this roof I am the parent..." attitude... however, I can safely say number 4 just does his own thing, until he wants something... new story...
laugh

Only time my children wouldn't eat was when they were I'll.

As for them not wanting to do things, like clean their room,I would just leave it and close the door. This teenage years.then with out fail one of their mates would ring and boom the room they would clean.just like magic.
Never had much drama with other things, all went pretty smoothly.

Big kids are the worst, when they're too old to boss around and sometimes you really really want to laugh

Well I do have the final word! But I use reason rather than threats!
I never say NO! you cant unless I give a reason as to why, they cant,

If my kid did half of the stuff I used to do, I would be in trouble,

She must take after her mother?
grin confused
