IMunbreakable1: I agree but some women will be offended or believe that the man is cheap if he doesn't pay. Someone women will be offended if we pay so we cannot win no matter what..
right or wrong - or neither (my preference) - I also think that some women will interpret your level of interest in her this way
I know I would get the impression the guy wasn't all that interested if he asked me to ante up - that might be not at all what he is thinking - but it would be my first impression

I would never ask a man to pay my way on a date...now if he insisted, that is an entirely different story...but i do not see how it is fair that he be EXPECTED to pay, that is not right at all

Totally agree if I was asked out by a guy and all he whinged about was money I would decline & not go on the date, he is coming across as a mean money pinching
I am a bit old school I like a man to pay but I would chip in as we got to know each other. First date he pays
