I don't blame you for not looking. It's not a huge snake but just the thought makes me shiver.
A short synopsis: The family lives in an apartment building. Someone else owned the snake. I don't know how it got loose but it's frightening that it got in the baby's crib. It probably liked the warmth of the baby. The father heard the baby crying and went to the baby to find the snake wrapped around it's foot. If it had been wrapped around it's body, the baby may have died since it was a python. Thankfully the baby is an infant and won't remember what happened...BUT I WON'T BE ABLE TO GET THE VIDEO OUT OF MY MIND..

I did not wach the video either but it is very irresponsible of the Python owner and s/he must be in a real trouble.
But who would take a video of a baby in danger when the first thing to do is to keep safe the baby.
wow! I have seen these reptiles are sold in petshops without any requirement, baby crocodiles and snakes that then get lost mostly in buildings ... for sure he / the mistress of this will not appear...a shame! and what a fright for this baby and parents!

I did watch the video, you cant see the snake on the baby foot but it explains what happened and they show the snake. All I can say is, although I am not a mother yet, I do take care of my niece, she is 10 month old and I keep cleaning and checking places around for my baby to be safe, what happens here is sometimes you can find scorpions so I am very aware she is safe all the time.
I love pets, but having exotic pets demand more responsibility than having a dog, a cat or a bird, a snake can be dangerous and not just that is such an ugly animal it scares me to death, I cant even imagine how that mother felt or how his father felt watching that ugly animal wrapped around their baby, the animal control office should find the owner of the snake and make them at least apologize to that family for this terrible incident

The video is NOT of the baby in danger. The video is only of the snake.
I can't remember but I think the article said the owner of the snake is going to be fined because snakes are not allowed as pets in this particular area.

Hi Montse.. I'm glad in a way that you watched it so you could explain to those you didn't what happened. I'm scared of snakes and I tried to put myself in the position the father was in. Needless to say, scared or not, I would have fought to get the snake out of the baby's crib..
