StillOfTheNight: Crunch up a bunch of egg shells and make a perimeter around the lettuce. Slugs don't like to crawl over the egg shells because of the sharp edges.

Its ok now , not to many peeps on here had a remedy for my problem of the Slugs .

Had to go on the askelvis.com aha website .

Cost me some Mushrooms to ask the Kingbowing for help .

Am expecting a reply soon , though it has been a few days now and ive heard nothing .

WhistlingDixie: I hope your not cheating your end rohaan and lookin in books and things lol

O come with old Kyam and leave the wise

One thing is certain that time flys

One thing is certain ,the rest is lies

The flower that once has bloomed forever dies .

{Never could get my head round that one }

As I sit here tonight, all alone by myself,
thinkin' of Mother and Dad-
There's another I cannot get out of my mind-
The only true one that I had

I'm a poor lonesome cowboy, jus' roamin' around,
it's the first time I've been all alone
I'm a poor lonesome cowboy, a stranger in your town,
and a long, long way from home.

Come and sit down beside me, and tell me your name-
and the troubles you have of your own-
you can lean on my shoulder and not feel ashamed,
I'm a cowboy a long way from home

And, if I should get friendly, please don't get upset
I don't mean any harm that is true--
oh you never will know, how lonesome I get,
to talk to a cowboy like you.

*am I obsessing?

WhistlingDixie: I have a small patch of Lettuce wich is invaded by Slugs .

I dont like to kill them as im into recycling to save the Plannet.

I collect the slugs and feed them to my Chickens ,i dont feel this to be cruel as its just natural in the food chain .

Only thing is when my Chickens lay Eggs , i usualy have 1 or 2 for Breakfast , and now find when i put a bit of Salt on the Eggs they Bubble Up and Explode on the Plate .

Any Advice Please .

Well, chickens are herbivores, not carnivores. So you are asking for trouble, no wonder your eggs are exploding!

This could be the precursor to Armageddon...?! uh oh help

I'm so sorry......

Don't forget a sprinkling of Parmesan for that authentic Italian thingy and possibly a sprig of parsley to enhance the presentation...?

Buon Appetito!! grin
