Its all imprinted on your mind-stream and is normal, just most people are to scattered to observe. Dreams have about as much reality as our waken conscious, both in many respects delusions, our minds nature is dualistic.

It may well be normal as Rob suggests but I think most people don't. Maybe it's due to being scattered or whatever, but I don't remember much before I was about eight. After that it very much "bits and pieces."
Interesting. Of late I too have almost total recall. I really believe everything we have ever seen ,heard and experienced is stored in the most advanced computer that will never be replicated.
