I am an Australian living on my canal barge in France fulfilling my dream.
Because of the size of my barge by law I have to have two people on board.
Do you think I can find a suitable lady. No. Although I do ask them to share the diesel cost, it is not much compared to the holiday they get.
Have a look at my videos on Face book. Search Fidutia.
If you know someone suitable the please TELL THEM.

So, you want English women to travel to France for holidays sharing a barge with a strange man?

Why would I tell any woman to make herself vulnerable in a foreign country, isolated with a stranger?

I agree with Jac, no-one in their right mind would take up an offer like this without getting to know the man first. I moved to a foreign country without knowing a soul which is quite adventurous for me but I did do som research first.

Good gosh, how did I forget about the diesel? I must of momentarily lost my senses as I became enchanted by this Man's tantalising offer.

Honestly Jac, you don't know how much I envy you right now.

Am I missing something Aussiebargeman - but does your travelling partner have to be a lady??? dunno

Would you be interested in a man as a travelling companion - or is it strictly for the ladies to apply? confused

Just asking ??? wine

Well I have seen your posts, good and bad.
Yes I respect the fact that ladies need to be careful and that is why I made the offer to ladies (plural) couples and yes a man would be OK.
It is not that they would be trapped on a canal barge.
When any people join up for a normal car holiday the fuel is usually shared. What is different about a barge.
I am not offering a free cabin for the homeless. I am offering a barge holiday and for those ladies that think the worst of barge owners the you are welcome to your oppinion.
Would you open up your home for strangers. I bet not, so don't criticise me for something you wouldn't do. I only want ladies or men or both with some adventure in them. I have come 10,000 miles for it.

For Rockchick,,
Someone who wants a chick to travel with him cos he HAS to and to foot half the costs ... ohhhh after them forking out to get to him in the first place ...

Not quite right but I guess some of you read to fast and read things that are not there.
What were you expecting the cost to be. I can see why you never go away from your back yard for a holiday. The trains and planes must be for others.
Diesel. Maybe €20 a day but depending on how many showers a day you want. Something has to heat the water.

No I wouldnt offer my home up to strangers to help pay the bills ....lol

You worded things in a way that it was easy for a woman to take offence.

I think coming on a dating site to plug your barge is silly full stop. Do it through a travel agent ... How else are women supposed to take that ... really!

When you put posts up, you shouldnt be offended when people put their own personal opinions ...

Its people like you that make me shy away from posting my opinion.

I said Id rather holiday in my garden than with a stranger on a barge that is looking for us to pay half his costs (bearing in mind, we are on a dating site, not a Thomas Cook one) ...
I didnt say I didnt holiday elsewhere and I do find your sarcasm offensive

Maybe the way you have worded things and conducted your replies on here gives others an insight to the type of person they would be stuck on a barge with.
