It is only our attachment to them that destroys our peace of mind.
Money and success are important. You know why? It affirms our ego.It is only our attachment to them that destroys our peace of mind.
It is the LOVE of money that is harmful. Money is an entity. And entities are always out of our reach when we desire them.
And success? We cannot cope with too much success. Just look at what it does to superstars and politicians.
To have enough money to be able to eat, keep warm, have a comfortable place to sleep - that is enough.
Success is in small things. I am trying to grow Sweet Potatoes - and I think I have success, maybe, I keep hoping for success. Maybe next year I have my own Sweet Potatoes! Then I will be successful!
If someone buys one of my paintings .... then I am successful too!
