I've been friends with a woman for over 10 years. I knew her husband many years before they were married. (But not her)
I assumed he never mentioned anything to her because she's never said anything.(She definitly is the type that would let you know that she was aware.) I saw no need to mention any thing since we were younger and in our early twenties. And it was basically a fling.
Should I have mentiond it at some point?

only if u want to cause trouble (and you don;t seem like that type)

and ruin friendships

I would say nothing unless she broaches the subject - then be brief with a general reply - no drama - no details

Hi, EQ50... wave Some people are really sensitive about past relationships that developed into ongoing friendships... so I don't know what to really say here. I have experienced something remotely similar to this situation when I was spontaneously truthful when asked about a past relationship.

Not too long ago, my 50-year old ex-girlfriend and I were invited to a wedding and its reception. The father of the 36-year old bride and long time friend of mine approached me and invited us. I only had the chance to ask my girlfriend one question about it, "Do you want to go?"
For some reason, her only reply was expressed in a less than this euphemistic way, "Did you have intimate relations with her?" My spontaneous answer was, "yes". For some other reason (maybe), my ex-girlfriend was very quiet for a couple of weeks after that.

dunno

Thanks to both of u for sharing. Think I'll say nothing. I think my friendshiphip should stand for something.(We've both been very supportive to each other through some tough times.) Its just that you never know what or how a person will react.very mad or handshake hug

Unusual for me, but I side with the majority. Leave it alone, he'll never tell her and if you did then what did you accomplish? Loss of a girlfriend.

NO. What would be the point? It would hurt her, she would begin thinking of it..no no no. Leave it in the past, she does not NEED to know and if her husband wanted her to know, he would have told her.

Yes it is. You wouldn't want her to hear from anyone else coz she'll there's a reason why you're hiding it. It could cost you a wonderful friendship. Plus, if it was me, I'd want to know.
