Venice is a magical, otherworldly city. I'm glad I got to visit, as it will likely be gone by our grandchildren's time.
Italy would have to be the best country I'd visited, too.
New York City would be the best city I've visited, I guess, since I keep going back...to visit. But Seattle really made me want to move there.

Its a tie for me. I love Mexico but at the same time, a good friend has a cottage on a private cove in P.E.I. and its something about the energy there that is wonderful

Omg...yes! I went on a day trip and wanted to stay there! The coffee!!! The energy of the city was intoxicating..loved it.
But then, I also fell in love with San Francisco. And I NEVER get tired of San Antonio, Texas. And who does not love New York City (for a visit only).
My favorite country is Holland. The people are so open and friendly.
