On the 24th of this month I will quietly celebrate my son's B-day. He would be 39. I lost him 14 years ago. So lonleygal, sadly your not alone. Time doesn't heal in these situations I think you'd agree.
I hope your young man didn't suffer before leaving our world. He will always be with you as a 13 yr. old. I lost my bestfriend when I lost my son. However I have only a few tiny regrets and many great memories. If you want to message me please feel welcome. Many people don't know what to say when they hear the loss of a child from the parent. I tell them not to feel awkward, just a smile and a hug will do. In memory of your son. Always share the good and the happy times with others and in your mind, it will keep him alive in you. JMO

We have lots of bullying in our U.S. schools, too, and way too many suicides as a result of it. There was a beautiful little 15 year old Irish girl who moved to the U.S. Within 4 months she commited sicide because of bullying.
