OK, we were always a bit more chatty in Ireland but it's quiet enough over here too. But the UK forums look like the day after Armageddon. A sad reflection on a free site. Without getting yourself banned, what's gone wrong here?dunno

I am not a regular poster but I did notice a while ago there used to be a particular member who seemed to 'take over' the forum and could be quite aggresive to some of the other members. This put me off contributing to some threads I was interested in and even though she doesn't seem to post lately I felt she somehow brought the UK forum to a virtual standstill.

This is purely my own opinion, perhaps I am wrong and the UK forums are just going through a quiet stage.

It is sad, like you say it is a free Forum and linked to other International Forums. Should be a place to drop in and say your bit, NOBODY should have the run of any Forum?? uk hug

Maybe you might start an avalanche of posts godsgift?? :conversing

I too stopped popping in to the forum for the same reason as Maisie...then due to 2 close family bereavements I left for a while. When I came back everyone had disappeared from this forum, well except for Mr Leisure,he's always here cleaning and playing his music...laugh

The word games were good for getting folk together for a laugh and a banter, folk joined in from other forums too.
Would be nice to see this forum up and running again though....

Ah the Leisureman is a good and solid member. It's bad when even he has given up. We need some of that spirit we saw at the London Olympics. uk

I have noticed the decline in threads and posts ...

But, maybe we could do something about it?
We all took the time to read these posts and to comment ourselves.

I stated one about a meet .... clearly a dead one as I guess not many cs'ers want a group meet, which s sad. I work as a moderator on another site and I organize ride outs, weekenders etc etc ... the site isnt a date site now its a community site as people are getting out and meeting people rather than building up cyber relationships with a couple of people who they may never actually meet.

The people that are on our site have great social lives and because of that, the meet new people and relationships start anyway ...

Maybe a bit of diversity on the threads will kick start something.

CS used to have great meets too but sadly nowadays are very poorly attended, if at all. The truth is what was a singles site has been hijacked and taken down a very destructive and hostile road. I remember when my first instinct was to welcome the newcomer. Now my first instinct is, that they're probably a troll on yet another profile so I'll let them off. I tend only to talk to folk with whom I have some kind of history. It's sad really. sigh

Hi Simon...I mean R....Well aware that we're heading into Christmas, the cold dark nights and the X factor finals. The Irish forums are poor enough too at the moment. Perhaps we should consider the UK site holding the CS X factor thread this year since ye did so well with the Olympics. conversing

The few friends I made here that have left,I have stayed in touch with.
Since I've popped back in to this site I have noticed a lot of visits to my profile from men in the USA, I have filters in place, but there seems to be a lot more than there ever was before(6-7 daily),so I can't help but wonder how well this site is managed any more...if at all....

To get the forum going, it really needs someone to say something controversial and then everyone can steam in and have their say. I have been trying to think of something but all I can come up with is "I love bankers". The trouble is that I just cannot bring myself to say it.

We're all sad, lonely bankers here, hun.

Bring on the love.

wave Not been here for sometime.
Its so nice to be nice and have a
good old banter and laugh.
The UK died a death with the nasty
folks that were ready at the drop of
a hat to attack others.
No wonder all the good ones left.
Mr. L. the trooper still in place nice
one our C.
Perhaps there should be a CS court that
will send them to Coventry when they
raise their ugly heads! Sentence to be
passed on here! Now there is an idea and
that will surely rile them into action
once more.
Nice to see you Ess, Mr. L. Newlife, Godsgift!
and anyone else I do not know.
Have a good day.
wave cheers wine
