Anyone ever experienced anything similar to this? Three thunderstorms in less than 24 hours! It was scary!

I'm not a great fan of summer anymore. Temperatures started in the 30's since June, it was too much. I guess I'm at fault too as I did pray for some rain...but never expected a deluge! grin

twinself:

I'd never experienced such extreme and violent weather... a lot of people are saying the same.

Has this got something to do with the Mayan Calendar?

Could be (anything is possible). What I reckon Twinny is this...

"Space: the final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise. Its five-year mission: to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no man has gone before."

One day we're leaving this wee planet. And not all planets can sustain life. So man is trying to figure out how to make/control the weather. Once 'they've' figured it out the extreme weather everyone has experienced in he last 15 odd yrs will stop. We are simply guinea pigs.

I've always thought we were guinea pigs and always under control, in some way or the other. It has always been like that. dunno

Well, I don`t want to depress you guys .... but ...... everything is changing.

Here in my part of the world, for the first time anyone can remember .... there were NO cherries on the cherry trees - and that is a disaster of national standards!

But seriously. I was reading today that the groundwater is SO contaminated it is becoming almost beyond purification ..... it`s contaminated by poisons (pesticides/herbicides) ... and the water going from houses for purification to re-enter the rivers .... is also SO contaminated ... by the amount of drugs people are taking. And I`m not talking about Happy Weeds .... its prescription drugs from Big Pharma.

Human faeces is SO poisonous - it actually kills any seeds in the earth! When I was growing up, our town had vegetable fields around all the sewerage works and the runoff water was used to water the veges - not anymore!

So, I only drink "purified water" now - alcohol kills germs, I hope?drinking

We are (JMO) nothing else than genetic experiments. The Armani suit brigade (puppets masters) are keeping the truth from us..

No cherrys here either, but it was because of lack of bees...

There are studies that say, if the bee is absent then agriculture in that country is finished.

That's in occasion when the bees are completely gone. We just had a bad luck with weather (too cold when cherrys bloomed) all other fruits and berries came out just fine...

I was amazed to hear Obama in one of his speeches saying that he had just released 3,000 hectares (I think it was about that figure, cant recall exactly) for natural gas exploration, to make America independent of the oil countries ...... and THAT is confirmation of the "Fracking" going on there, where they are poisoning the ground water ..... to have gas for power.

And then I read that Kellogs is the big buyer of all the genetically modified wheat grown there? So we`ve all been eating GM cereals without knowing it?

No wonder Big Firms are fighting like hell to keep from having to label their products "GM".

Anyway, doesnt really matter. I grew up with DDT disinfectant - We had it dusted all over our beds, and sprayed all over the kitchen for flies ......and I`m perfectly healthy .... sort-of .... I hope ......

Aaahhhh ... a new planet, somewhere, for my next life!

We also had the Bee story here. But this year I paid attention - and saw LOTS of bees, everywhere.

The problem is, I believe, that the bees go back to their hives, with pollen that has been sprayed with chemicals ...... and they die.

So, slowly, the bee population is dying out, very slowly, so we don`t really notice it.

And then Big Pharma can offload their GM seeds on farmers - that don`t need pollination, because they are sterile anyway.
And the human race will (is) beoming more sterile too - and women are beginning to fail at full-term gestation ..... so babies will be "grown" in test-tubes in the future.

Hell, old Aldous Huxley wasn`t far wrong with his old predictions in "Brave New World" huh? ........ We are destined to become Production Line Humans, in selected pre-programmes using genetic manipulations.

tapsa93: The taste is still the same if you come over to these latitudes though we had a bad season, it was too cold in June...
And it was too wet here in Summer! Wine is going to be VERY expensive next year! Everything grew mould this year.

And with all the anti-mildew sprays used in the vineyards ..... people had sinus infections of fungus! (not bacterial, like used to).

No no ..... on the contrary. Countries will be buying geneticall modified seeds that do not rely on cross polination! They are sterile seeds, containing pesticides/fungicides/herbicides.

But the next year the countries will then have to buy very expensive new sprays to control the Super Weeds and insect mutations that have adapted to what they ate the year before.

Google Super Weeds and insect mutations from GM produce. And while Googling, try uTube for a documentary called "Gasland". Rather thought provoking.

It has to start with a few, we wait and watch what happens next year. The weather is unstable, and this affects produce. What is altering the weather?

Could be the same stuff that is causing whales and dolphins to beach themselves? Remember, those are mammals, not fish. But fish are dying too, now.

Do you think all this is a natural progression of history? Maybe. And maybe not.

Someone had done a bit of research through church papers where were yearly reported phenomenas affecting to growth of crops...
Within the last 200 years this kind of instabilitys have been reported quite often and to both directions...
More I'm worried about the enviromental effects of new nuclear powerplant. Some of the latest researches have given info about how wide the effect is even with all those steel and concrete walls limiting the radiation. The effects are noticed even 50 kilometers away...
