sadgirl25: Is age important to have a healthy relationship?
It is one component in a healthy relationship. Too big an age difference can make a permanent thing into a temporary things as people change over time. Their needs change, their desires change. Even in relationship to wanting or not wanting children..... or raising children.... or merging families together.

That can happen at any age...even if there is no age difference.

yes -
I was watching court tv, and cheaters (reality tv) and the focus seems to be on cases where there is a big age difference to the wife or the husband - and within 5 years when the younger person comes into their own - they are now bored with their spouse or now want children or can't have children - divorce, and bedlam ensues.
in america I read somewhere that divorce is up to 50% now.....
IN MY PROFILE, I HAVE INDICATED THAT I'M SEEKING A RELATIONSHIP WITH A WOMAN AGED 25 - 50.
I HAVE MET PEOPLE THAT WERE AROUND 25 YEARS OLD THAT HAD THEIR LIVES IN FOCUS AND I HAVE MET PEOPLE MUCH OLDER WHOSE LIVES WERE AN UNCONTROLLED MESS.
BUT ALL IN ALL I FEEL IT COMES DOWN TO SHARED CHEMISTRY AND DESIRE. IF THE DESIRE IS THERE, THEN I BELIEVE WE WOULD ALL MOVE MOUNTAINS FOR THE PEOPLE WE ARE IN LOVE WITH AND AGE BECOMES AN INVALID POINT.
The age matters, at least to me. I’d feel uncomfortable sharing my life with a man 10 or 20 years younger than me. It would feel like mother and a son; or like a father and daughter, if the age difference was too big.
If you fell in love like in an “explosion”, I guess you wouldn’t think too much about the age difference! Or would you?

Yes, it's been that way for a number of years now, and seems to hold pretty steady at 50%.
