curly28: I wish I could keep on working but I have a very hard slog job and it's wearing my bones out maybe I should have done an office or shop job easier then what I do physically, but putting up with people whingeing would completely & mentally do my head in. At least I have enjoyed being outdoors breathing the fresh air. There is life after people need to stay active and apply themselves

Hi Curly, wave

From my position, I think you have a fantastic job...
applause

There is nothing worse than being tied to a desk all day.. and having everyone with their daily moods as companions...

Lookin4missright: As for flexibility??? That wood be cool to watch if you win

I am too bloody old to be flexible. sigh
No more head-high kicks for me these days. Nothing higher than the waist, but then all that one really needs is to kick high enough to take out a knee and the fight is over.
I have ended a couple of promising football careers of street thugs that way.

I have recently brought my mountain bike upstairs and have it set up on a bike trainer , cost me $50 2nd hand for the trainer , and $100 for the bike. Do ( ATM ) 1km a night , with a goal in 6 months to be riding 10km comfortably. I also do some minor weights and sit-ups.

As long as you keep being active , you'll feel good. Stop , or slow right down and it becomes extremely hard to become remotivated.

I wish you good luck in your exploits!!

Always had knee trouble. Little guys would pick on me and punch the crap out of my knees.

Bucket List? I do remember a song we learnt at school back in the 60s about a hole in the bucket. Like any list, they are never ending.

But back to Curly. My great-grandmother swam 5 "laps" every day from the end of her street to the local ocean baths (1 lap = there and back). Except when the seas where too big and then would do about 20 in the pool. When she turned 90, she said that maybe it was getting a bit cool in winter and stopped in July & August. But she kept walking the 3 miles to church twice a week although her son (70) insisted on driving her home.

And at my age, I am very flexible. I am willing to listen to anyone, even if they are wrong.rolling on the floor laughing

I try to walk every morning for at least 30 minutes, but the dog needs it too so that is my incentive.
I have a lovely bicycle that now the weather is warming up and the daylight is getting longer I that I hope to get out and do a few kms on the bike track close to home a few nights a week.

I miss my bike riding as it is a great meditative exercise, invigorating and relaxing at the same time, works the body but stills the mind
