I know the feeling...total frustration. I just accept it and figure eventually after a few sleepless nights, I will crash out. Relying on alcohol or other "sedatives" will just become a crutch that will be hard to break later. Let nature take its course.... Drink coffee in the morning to keep going. 11:16 pm here...sleep evades me....ughsigh

Hmmm... so after twelve years, they are not working anymore? I used to use a "natural sedative" but I hated the feeling of needing something that much. It took some effort but I finally stopped. Sometimes, talking to somebody on the phone for ten minutes or so gets me sleepy, sometimes closing my eyes and taking myself to a pleasing place or situation helps.

Nascar is the world's best cure for insomnia.

It could make a coke-head nod off in a strip bar.

"Insomnia" is derived from the Latin word "Somnus", the name of the Roman god of sleep, with the incorporation of the prefix "in-" to add contradiction.
