I'm sorry you had this experience, many of us have had unpleasant mail at one time, or another.

This thread is probably going to be deleted for naming and shaming. Although I appreciate your sentiments in warning others, if naming and shaming were commonplace, people would be saying bad things about others for other reasons, like they were rejected and they want revenge.

Your best bet is to report the mail and profile to the site admin.

Hi, Erskine,
please google his "about me" and his profile picture, and you will find out that both is abused by many scammers. You are talking with a nigerian or ghanain scammer in an internet cafe, not with someone from Dallas.
Don´t worry about any threats. It´s only hot air. This scammer can and will do nothing to you.

Two rules broken here:

Thread title may not include a member’s username. Topic may not be a question or information about a Connecting Singles member. This is gossip and is not allowed.

You may not use the forum to accuse, ‘expose’ or gossip about other members. You may not include copies of mail you receive from or about others, or about the site.

Might want to read the rules before making a thread about another member.
As for the member mentioned, Tineye came up with zero results for his picture.
If it was a scammer, his grammar is impeccable. In most cases, a Nigerian scammer will start a descriptive sentence with "Am" instead of "I am" or "I'm".

Please use google image search and you will see what I was talking about!
Please be aware of that scammers are not writing their own profile texts. Scammers are lazy. They steal their "about me" and "I´m looking for" from real people´s profiles.
The text of this special profile is abused by many scammers for male and female profiles on different dating sites since a long time.

Thank you,
Now, I know I am not the only one using the "AM" instead of "I AM" among other redflags to catch the Nigerian fake or scammer.
