rippleinapond: well i lookedat ride oins but they are for lawns,and the real heavy big dogs cost a mint,so for 2,500, i got top of the range in walk behinds,and you can operate it with one finger.going to offer to cut miss marples grass next door,as its 3ft high,she got a quote of 500,i can do it for 300 plus a coffee haha


Used to have a Kubota ride on mower / slasher when I had horse property was awesome to drive and scared the snakes away yay Was a tuff heavy duty mower but second hand cost $8,000.00 that was about 15 years ago. stuck

Looks like I might have a chance to get some Christmas shopping in. Have now got a couple of weeks off work, so may have a chance to get on top of it...... I hope. grin

yes i have got them all (300) started at the beginning of the year and now all i have to do is buy the turkey and veges

Well I am a true Xmas Grinch, don't like it, can't be bothered with all this tinsel and holly crap. Probably got something to do with not having a big family here to do it with blues

My ex-in laws live in Sydney with that lot of rellies so we don't see them.

Hate the heat, hate the shopping, hate all the food and excess. devil

I have said for years, if I can find a desert island or somewhere that doesn't mention the word CHRISTMAS - I'll be there with bells on, just not sleigh bells laugh christmas sad

I come from a large family....8 siblings and partners and 16 nieces and nephews and THEIR kids and friends.

All gifts wrapped and in boxes ready to transport. Yeppers, I start in the January sales and collect in boxes marked 'female' 'male' 'couples' 'teens' 'under 12' and 'under 6'

The system isn't foolproof but it almost works as intended. I also have a word doc with all the names on and print it off....writing the gifts in as I go. At least teaching taught me some organisational skills.
