I will be working, but all the guys are going too run flat-out to finish before the race so we can all have a few bourbons while the race is on and after, hic! The guy that wins the sweep buys the Friday bourbons!

also had a quarter horse called red 
didn't help did it some horse won Green something or other 
came out of nowhere still was a pretty horse and good luck to them .. I hate losing though

I have managed to get third which was a longshot so paid for all my bets at the TAB. 
Got frocked up and had a bbq, drinks and gambling at the old girls house, lovely warm weather and a bit of a storm, very nice. Good food, good company and little bit if a win doesn't get much better than that!!

got a place bet did spend a bit got near half back spent 36 dollars for me and close friend wish had backed third as have pet with close name.Was surprising result never seen finish like this ever.lucky merrri you only lost $2.I like the look of the gardens at flemingotn guess all the hrd earned money pays for the extraganza of extreme win and losses.House always wins.
A slight change in plans today, the guy that won the sweep brought the bourbon today, well to be exact. I paid for the bourbon and he gave we his winnings, but my horse came second so I get to keep the $30 for me, and they conned another guy into putting in $20 for the carton so I made a extra $7, but I did go halves in the carton last Friday?

I am such a huge spender... I guess to be fair tho... I cant see the point... At work, being a church organisation, there is no fuss at all made, we dont get to watch the race, so I really cant see the point.. I reckon you will agree with me.
Besides, they dont promote gambling at work... sorta looked down upon, so all in all, best to give it a miss..

I didn't know if the TAB would be open but in the couple of minutes I was in the car park you should have seen the cars pulling in and out??
Did my dough, but it was a few minutes of fun, plus the lead up to it.
I did get to watch it live, a lady put the TV on for me and gave me a nice cool drink

There are 3 ways of picking the winner more often than not.
1. Go in a sweep and be very lucky.
2. Pick a name you fancy.
3. Pick the colours you like.
Have about as much chance as the professional punters these days.
The Cup has changed so much over the last 10 years with so many imports compared to Australian horses. I had a good track record when the field was mainly Aussie or NZ horses, something like 70% picking winners.
Now I am lucky to pick something in the top 10.
And have managed to save money by not betting at all. And where I work don't even run sweepsMore Threads
