Virtual, but long distance does not work for me. :) I've only been with one nationality so far, to which I belong, so couldn't say the difference. :)) Now I live in an international city and I have colleagues of different nationalities. Though I can notice some differences (for instance, Spanish more joyful compared to other nationalities), we are all human beings, with more or less flaws.

Depends on what you call wasting time............!!!!! Ya gotta communicate to see if there is any possibility of a relationship. How far down the line one decides whether or not the relationship will progress is down to the individuals. Just cos it doesn´t work out, doesn´t mean it was a waste of time.
Personally, I usually suss out pretty quickly whether or not there is likely to be any romance, thereby avoiding wasting anybody´s time.

Of course every nation has it's eagles and its dogs, so to speak, but I think the OP has a point there somewhere.
Some cultures encourage machismo more than others, some value submissiveness in a "marriage material" type of woman more than others, etc. Just looking at her list, I know for a fact that the general attitude of men in Germany is vastly different from American men or men from the Balcan, for example.

I talk from my own experiences!! I don´t want to sound to "obvious" or
be influenced by stereotypes, but definitely, a German, for example, is much more reliable, mature and determined in a relationship, than Italians (I´m sorry if they read that!); because here it is also a question of culture. So, even if there are good and bad everything, sometimes,unfortunately, we have to generalize!
The same as we would say that Spanish people, for example, are lively, joyful, warm and passionate in general; sure there can be some who are not, but most of them are!! So, the same here...

Yes, but unfortunately divorces rate doesn´t have anything to do with what we are talking about; there are less divorces in Italy just because here again, it is a question of culture; getting divorce in Italy is a very hard and long process, and people tend to be together even if they don´t love each other anymore; but you can´t imagine how many extra-matrimonial relationship thera are; ( I´ve been told that by Italians themselves). In other countries, people are less hypocritical regarding relationships; if they don´t love each other anymore, they just divorce!!
