is monogamy natural or is it something that society made up? does it work in real life or is it unnatural? does it work for you?

I personally prefer monogamy, I am not a person you want to cheat on, just ask my ex husband.

As for something society made up, I am undecided. With the amount of people cheating on each other, makes you wonder. But society has also desensitised us from many emotions so having a guilt complex may not apply to some people, our sense of right and wrong is blurred as boundaries are crossed, people seem to strive to live life on the edge so the thrill of being caught is desirable to some. Some are just lazy and not willing to put the effort into making a unity work and figure it is just easier to find someone else until they are no fun too. But in the end, it is everyone elses fault because nobody wants to be accountable for the demise of their partnerships.

Am strong supporter of monogamy not one for one nighters or constant bed swapping.My young friend was areal player marginally psycopathic with his lack of empathy and charisma luring beautiful girls,I used to think they were stupid guess not all of us can see thru these people.Is it a man thing or woman thing where there is little or no ability to read players.

Many animal species practice monogamy. It's all about what's best for the propogation of the species. Human babies need years of intensive care and this was best done by two people in the hunting and gathering days.
However, I think that man have a natural tendency to look for opportunities to maximise the spread of their genes and that makes evolutionary sense, too.

I would have to say that I am one of those people that don't see those poor qualities in a person. I don't know that it is because I am a poor judge of character but more because I have to much faith in people. I am a person that believes anyone until they give me reason not to. I trust people until they hurt me. I give people the respect they give me. I don't ask people to do something I wouldn't do. You may see that as wrong or nieve but it is better than thinking someone will do the wrong thing by you before you can properly get to know them.

I am definately for monogamy. hate cheaters and I am always faithful to my partner. One is more than enough.
