laugh think you've been on the old drinking there Tomcat!

Well, I guess I have been lucky. I have never had a "bad" date, but then I haven't had many official "dates" as such. It's usually something that has developed out of a good friendship.

I went for a drink with a girl a couple of weeks ago. Afterwards she invited me back to hers, so I went back with her only to be invited on arrival to a game of monopoly with her and a large group of stoned rastafarian housemates. I was battleship and lost.

As you can imagine this is not what I was expecting to happen but, the date was more surreal than bad, however, I was disappointed not to have rattled her on the night as she lacks the value to be worth a 2nd date.

See. That's your problem there. Essentially, wasting your time. Always go for the one you'd have no problem in never setting the upper bound on what could happen. And, even if I failed sometimes in the following, myself: never be afraid to say 'No' to second best. thumbs up

Women that you don't really want are just training for the one that you really do.

I couldn't imagine marrying a Woman, when I know I could have done better, as I know that this would plague me for years until we finally divorced.

Probably the worst date I had was in Dublin with an Irish guy...he was not from Dublin.....he appeared wearing an old woolly jumper with stains on it....we went into a restaurant for something to eat and he proceeded to throw pints down his neck as if it was going out of fashion and then he kept trying to snog me at every opportunity...yuck....but the worst of it was, I was fumbling about in my handbag looking for something and he grabbed my passport and pretended to spit on it...haha... I couldnt believe it...probably meant as a laugh but very disrespectful...date didnt last to long needless to say and I dont do internet dating anymore grin

How awful Crystal? It just goes to show how you can be anyone you want to be on the 'net'??

That's why I can't understand people having a long distance romance between countries?? You NEVER know what you are getting into until you meet each other face to face and then spend time together. hug

I am not prepared to 'invest' all that time, emotion into someone I have never met? I did meet someone who lives 3,000 kms from me (in Aust) but we met within 6 weeks and had a wonderful time for 18 mths until I started to ask is there any future in this?? Was good while it lasted but ....... I'm here and he is still there. dunno

Wouldn't let a bad experience put me off but I am a lot more selective than at first, I have no problem with saying a straight out "No" not interested. Don't feel I have to explain other than "I don't think we have common interests".
