Read a quote today which said to do all things gracefully, without complaint or explanation. I'm making this my mantra, particularly at work.
I can tend to be a bit negative at work, it's frustration, but I do make an effort to shut it and keep my thoughts to myself, no one wants to hear a whinger

Feel the same ever so much about work. Time to do some positives and try and get things to work the way they should. Given up on taking calls that have nothing to do with my Unit and trying to give them the the right place when all they say is "Not me" and hang up.
Had a thinners pollution problem last week referred to us just because "someone always does something in that Unit."
Seems the Emergency Response Officer and the Environmental Officer were not interested. Go suck. Had to be a Civil Engineer (we are polite) who had to do all the emergency calls to try and get something done. And 3 people in hospital. It was only when the emergency services got involved that the Emergency Response Officer got involved.

I always ask St Anthony to help me...
and within a few secs... I find them...I have learnt that running about the house, getting frustrated, thinking the worst... does not get me anywhere...
so these days... I look to St Anthony, and bingo... I find them immediately...

Yin and Yang, you need negativity to appreciate positivity. Sometimes negativity can make you look at things in a different light and sometimes a more realistic perspective. If we rushed into everything with a positive attitude there may well be negative consequences. You may go in thinking nothing will go wrong and not fully contemplate the ramifications without thinking about the negative.
As much as negative things are not nice to think about, they do need to be considered.
Of course it is never nice to be around a killjoy that is negative about everything without being able to see the positives also.

You are so correct about with the negative comes the positive if we were positive all the time we wouldn't be solving the outcome because there wouldn't be one to solve
