robsantiago15: Basically life has become a routine and we have become prisoners of our own routine.
I suppose that is at least partly true for me also. but I LIKE my routine. It will take something pretty special to get my out of my SHE-CAVE after a long day at work!!!!
I am planning to make a few small lifestyle changes. that might vicariously help me socially - possibly - but that is not the intention - the changes I am making I am doing so for fitness & wellness
2intrigued: You Albertans are tough...snow higher than your roof, bitter cold winters to make any mans goods recede into the innermost regions, and all the while, dodging moose on the roads.

Thanks! That is "statement" bound to attract women from all over the planet! (But thanks! Appreciate the compliment! But hey, aren't all Canucks a special breed! Signed the guy two igloos down from the abandoned ice-fishing shack and laughing at the NHL strike! Finally, the Leafs have a real reason for not bringing home the Cup!)

If you move to B.C., problem solved. Now, as far as hockey goes, they can stay on strike forever...the cup is a distant memory.

hiya 2I... weellll..i'll tell right now, it's chilly here this evening..clear with plenty of starts shining. i had to wear socks tonight... i think we're gonna have frost...
as for LDR at times, can be really tough...down right miserable... but if the focus is on making it work, together... there's gold at the end of that thar rainbow...

LOL! I would LOVE to move to BC (or the Niagra Peninsula),...but hey,...Alberta has an energy play going on that generates $$$$,...and what can I say,....$$$$, although not what life is all about, do hold some sway. So,...for the time being I'll keep buying mink fur longjohns, held up by diamond-studded suspenders, and continue to try and stay warm!

Like I said, it's warmer in BC...we got frost here over a month ago. A lot of Torontonians move to BC for nicer weather although it's going to be 17 C tomorrow and Monday.
If people are motivated enough, it can work out...especially if there's someone or something to work towards. Love can change attitudes very quickly.

LOL!! I have noticed! BC forecast,...close to freezing! Definite need for socks. Tonight here it is forecast to go down to - 24. T-Shirt weather here! LDR is only a problem when ya can't afford gas for the snowmobile!

Love vs money, money vs love...never the twain shall meet. Don't forget the mink hat with ear flaps.

LOL! If I truly had to choose,...love ALWAYS before money! However, being Albertan by birth, being able to wrap my oil-stained arms around the love of my life would be nice! However,...the joys of western Canada are such that within a few hours I can be looking quite silly wearing my mink cap with sapphire studded ear flaps while dipping my toe into the Pacific (despite popular rumours,....not all Albertans are millionaires! Several are billionaires!! I am in the other elite group - thousandaires!!! )

oohhhh -24... never experienced that. closest to that for me would be -17 and that was in cincinnati..
-24..is that tshirt and two pairs of socks weather? (yah might wanna put some pants on in that kind of weather...)
The distance, that's the main obstacle, my location also, then the feeling of anxiety on trying to start something that we are not sure if it will work or no.
Spot on about distance, and your "if it's meant to be".
2intrigued: On this site, distance is a huge obstacle. On local sites, finding someone genuine is a challenge...more of a challenge than I'm willing to put up with. I look at it this way...if it's meant to be, it will be and if not, oh well.
I didn't experience this but I would have to say with most people it's distance and not having the means to spend as much time with that person( as in traveling to see them).
Distance and finding some one real. Too many scammers here. I have known people that met online and in all 3 cases distance was involved but it some how worked out for them and all three cases are still married ant happy. so What do i know?

LOL! Okay,...its more like 10 t-shirts, and six pairs of socks! Coldest I have seen has been -56. That's like get naked and sit in a hottub all day cuz there ain't no way in HELL we are going outside in that kind of weather!
This means Hope doesn't die last, its always there, with or without distance.-
