As for Schindler,-a very desinformed propaganda movie.....Amon Goth,-was,as you can probably remember,hung at the end,-which of course isnt true.....He was jailed by SS themselves,for abusing,-not killing inmates..
In the false,lying movie,-he was shooting people from the balcony,-truth is,he shot,-but birds,not humans...
As the lying film portrays him,-dark haired,is not true,he was blond,short cut......

I have to say a lot of film choices are generational, but there are some all-time classics that people can enjoy for what they are. I'll throw a few more classic movie choices into the thread.

Way of the gun has to be the best film I've seen, with good acting, well filmed, developed characters. and an engaging plot.....with a twist in the tale. I'd actually put it above everything else that i've ever seen.

tough choices but I will use overall artistry, quality of the cast/acting and strength of the storytelling (versus gratuitous violence sensationalism or cliches - which do not belong in quality products)and add the outstanding cast member if I can remember the name IMO - not necessarily in any particular order:

2. Good Will Hunting - Ben Affleck
3. Bull Durham - Susan Sarandon
4. The Good The Bad & The Ugly - Eastwood
5. Joyeaux Noel - French film in 3 languages - you must have some knowledge of all

10. The Pirates of the Carribean Johnny Depp
11. Love Actually - Hugh Grant/ kiera knightley/laura linney - actaully this is a much larger ensemble cast - one of the best I've seen - english

Another thread "what is your fave xmas songs" reminded me of this movie. It is one of those movies that fell through the cracks as so many great movies have, called "The Victors". There's one scene in the movie involving the song "Have yourself a merry little Christmas" sung by Frank Sinatra that is the most perverse pairing of a song with the events that are playing out on screen. Judge for yourself.

It's a real good list, Ooby. All are acknowledged classics. And sure, 24 is an arbitrary number. So replacing any, instead of adding more, is a challenge.
The only non-english-language film I see on your list is Akira Kurosawa's The Seven Samurai. So, likely at least a couple choices could face international competition.
Likewise, the silent era is entirely absent.
And your list seems rather tilted toward drama. The Producers is the only pure comedy I see, and only The Wizard of Oz appears to represent both musicals and fantasy genres.
So, with all that in mind, I'd replace:
17. Double Indemnity with Sergei Eisenstein's 1925 Battleship Potemkin. (You already featured The Maltese Falcon to represent the noir-era suspense drama.)
15. Black Beauty with The Sound of Music.
19. Lifeboat with Walt Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarves.
22. Stand by Me with Charlie Chaplin's Modern Times.
13. The Ten Commandments with Vittorio De Sica's The Bicycle Thief.
And just from personal preference, I'd swap The Outlaw Josey Wales for The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.

I assume you haven't seen "Lifeboat"? to replace it with Snow White. Bear in mind that this is my personal list and not a list from IMDB so it reflects my taste, no doubt it wouldn't exactly match anybody elses.
I've seen "Potempkin" but felt it was over rated but that may be because I feel the silent era was more or less a precursor to the modern movie genre. We live in a world of sound afterall. Having said that I will say that there are 4 silent films that appear on my master list of about 300 films. ORPHANS OF THE STORM with the Gish sisters and THE SCARLET LETTER with Lillian Gish, also THE GENERAL with Buster Keaton.
A lot of the movies on my list are virtually non existant anymore due to loss or damage of the few remaining copies.
