There was a time when the forums moved so fast it was difficult to keep up with them. Drama upon drama kept you riveted, like a soap opera there was always some altercation, dispute or dirt being dished somewhere. Of course there was always the community of cs where meets were arranged and people met up to balance it out, not to mention providing support for members who were feeling down or hurting. I'm not sure what caused the change but I know I miss the old days on here and the fun we used to have. Oh well, I guess all things must pass.

That is how I got addicted to the international forums. and it has been more than 2 years since I went to the get-together in Glasgow.
So.... perhaps you can flash your self or somethin' ?

Certainly a far different place then when I first joined but I think its the different mix of people and the overall slant of the forums have changed drastically from having "fun" to cut/slash ...... one can only tolerate so much before saying they've had enough.
Hi Bode....Great minds think alike. Just yesterday I was on here in one of the word threads. I posted a word and there it ended. Time was there would be so many in a word thread that you had to be fast as lightening to get a word in before the next poster.
Yesterday I posted a thread about Vocaroo thinking that people might like to get it started. I remember when Dr. Bombay introduced us to Vocaroo and so many members had a great time with it.
I don't know why the threads are slow. Perhaps with people out of work depression is bearing down on them making CS just a once in awhile outlet. I miss the old days too but if I'm totally honest I don't think CS will ever return to the fun times we had on here. Part of the reason is a lot of the new people are much younger then the folks from years ago. They might have a different agenda whereas the members of days gone by were middle aged/older and open to fun and discussion without insult.

Hi Monte...
You may be right, but given its more or less the same format same site I'm still not too sure why the forums and participants have changed so much and become so slow.

Happygolucky4u: Can't say. So what cha think happened?
Not sure, the change was so sudden, over a couple of years ago now can't quite put my finger on it. Maybe too many bannings for one reason or another, or maybe just a changing of the times...
Not enough posters willing to share personal trials and tribulations that build a meaningful bond or connection. The threads over the last year or so have become all to superficial.

I can put my finger on it. No....no I can't because my finger would not be in the position to be put on anything. It would be to busy pointing

I don't think the change has anything to do with the format of CS but has more to do with Facebook becoming the icon of the world.
Between FB and Twitter members have more to work with then just the forums on CS. It's too bad cause those of us who have been here a long time remember how much fun it was. Don't get me wrong, there were days when a troll would come along but on the whole, when you think about the men and women who were once a part of the woodwork, it's really sad that I don't get goosebumps anymore when I log on...

Ccincy: I left for awhile and came back just to check in to see how the political threads were doing and noticed things seemed to be different somehow.
I've seen some rifs the last couple days but not quite as bad as they were prior to be leaving.
Maybe some people got banned or became burnt out because of the scammers and trolls and decided to leave.
Maybe it was the many double profiles and the trolls that produced so much drama on here and admin have finally rid the place of them...

I only drop in once in a while. I think we all have our own reasons to why we don't come around as much as we use too. Mine was I got tired of the hatred. Sad it was from a site that was suppose to connect people. Oh well they don't say how, I just thought it would be a connection of a happy kind.
