Granted that my late mother's estate is not a 'usual', straightforward case, as her will is essentially divided into 2 instructions. 1stly the property is to be sold and the money distributed between myself and my 5 older siblings. The money from her bank accounts is to go between the 6 of us plus 2 of her grandsons, and this is the easier component because the Grant of Administration has been obtained by the High Court, it is just a matter of keeping money aside to make the property presentable for auction (garden rubbish, old sheds etc). The person who has been liaising with the family over all this has made assurances that end up on the cutting room floor and there seems to be a 'tell em anything' mentality. My siblings and I are all very frustrated, as some of them are aged pensioners themselves

Hi Lilyleaf, welcome to the forums. (Assuming you haven't been on here before - could be wrong.)
No, I haven't had these experiences, as I still have one parent alive, sounds pretty frustrating.
If you have specific grievances you could maybe complain to his/her manager?

Usually if a will exists and no one is contesting it then these things can settle quickly ..

Is it possible you or your siblings can do the required work to et the house ready to be put on the market ??

Maybe easier than trying to deal with a Trustee ... dunno

Hi Lilyleaf, not had too much to do with them myself but I get the general impression that they are difficult to deal with and best avoided?/

Good luck with that. Obs and Prowler sound like they have given you good advice, any grievances - take it higher??

cswelcome
