Kids ok, but the car is a bit more dinted, so is my wallet? And her mums wallet, as the car is in the EX”s name, looks like I will be putting a car back together for the next two weeks, cost me $400 for towing and the EX $1100 for excess on the insurance on the other car, I will have to pay for parts to fix the kids car,
While at the towing company the EX said to the woman behind the counter that we were divorced? But we still get on ok together, I asked the woman too reach over and pull the knife out off my back!

No! she is a good driver, she just went to check her GPS at the wrong time, she wasn’t sure as to where she was, as her mum asked her pickup her sisters books for next year?
Accidents, happen! I don’t know too many drivers that haven’t had one, do you?

The good news is she is ok and not dead like so many other young new drivers, money is nothing compared to your kids!

Well she is ok, low speed crash at the lights, she wasn’t sure off where she was, and yes I taught her well, I drove her and the EX to the doctors and then to the towing place, I had to put the air-con on as it’s a bit weird our weather here ATM, the kid said to her mother brace your self as he has just pressed the power button on, well the air-con drains the power a bit, but we only went airborne once!

She was a bit to cocky! And she didn’t have her glasses on, I have taught her well, maybe now she might listen a bit more? After all I am a professional driver as I get paid to drive? And I have been training people to drive for years, mainly forklifts, but now cars and truck too,

I do tell her she was not ready too drive like me yet?

She is fine but I think her mum isn’t , we came to my place where she rang the insurance company, seems she got the wrong cover? I am insured with the same company for over twelve years with no accidents, they would have covered the car for less. In my name, the EX wrote a car off six years ago and she is still paying the extra insurance for it, the kid will just have to drive my car until I can fix hers!

Kids can be cocky. They think that just because they have got that licence in their hands that they can drive the same as someone with 30yrs experience??confused

They don't realise that a licence is only a permission to drive and doesn't mean they are without fault?

She will learn from it hopefully thumbs down and yes, the main thing is that she is OK. thumbs up

why are you paying the ex on the other car , as thats their care . If they were good drivers they would have a low ex why should you pay for their past bad driving in having a high ex or is that normal ex in AU .

epirb: from what I understand , you are paying $1100 excess on the other car .Is that not their cost

No the EX has to pay $1100 for the other guys car, the kid was at fault, she ran into the back off him, on a green light, he just didn’t move as quick as he should off so she gave him a nudge! So to speak!

The EX rang the guy at home and got hold of his wife, he didn’t even tell her he had an accident? That was two hours after?

Check your insurance policy’s, they are not that good when it is time too claim?

No the EX and I are beyond the divorce, that was years ago, now the kid lives with me full time so the EX is learning to be a human, we didn’t have a kid so we could fight over her? At my home the kid can see her mum whenever she wants, but she wants too live with me, coming up two three years now, she is a good kid very smart and well spoken,

Funny the boss said the same thing today? I told him I forgot too teach her that if your going to have a crash that you do it in a work vehicle, he was not amused? But he did give me full pay for Friday when I had too leave work early,

she is not hurt that is the important fact
cars can be fixed or replaced kids can not
had the same thing 2 years ago with mine
but then the other party was in the wrong so no excess but they were not insured fortunately I am fully equipped to repair it 6 weeks later she snapped the crank so back to dad for a complete engine rebuild the joys of children
between cars and horses keep me busy :)
but still would not change them

Blizzard14u:
But I am lucky as I have worked it out that you save more money by not gambolling than you do ever trying too win?

thumbs up I worked that out too at a young age. Can't understand the enjoyment of sitting at a pokie feeding it money. Even if you get the occasional win the feeling is pretty short lived. Would rather go out for a meal or a movie or see a band. Much more fun I recon. dance
