Nice to meet you! It would take a long to explain,...but I most certainly hold Sudbury a warm place in my heart! Decades ago, during a mere 48 hour span, my first time traveling through, I met more warmth, friendliness, and noble honesty than I have ever met before, and since. Granted, it was only a few people,...but because of them I hold that barren moonscape city in the highest regards!
It is also nice to see someone enter these rather desolate halls and make themselves known! Who knows? Someday I might not be able to count the everyone one in here on two hands!

nice to meet you to moose hope u don't mind me calling u moose, I agree it is a daily thing for many, it's during xmas that is experienced millions through out the world, and I believe that if we turn off all distractions at 12:00 am close our eyes stop our inner chatter we can experience an incrediable sense of peace and connection. call me romantic or crazy I'll confess to both but I challange you to try it, for the hell of it, and if you want get some to join you cann't do any harm Christmas is a time of year where I desire to be with loved ones,....no different than any other day!

No problem with calling me moose! I agree, Christmas is oft a time when people "learn" to turn off the cahtter of the daily world,...but I learned long ago not to wait just for Christmas!

I have been through Sudbury many times since,...and yes,...it has it s pitfalls like all urban centres do,...but my first impression still carries a great deal of weight for me and I will always hold Sudbury in a special place in my heart!
Christmas holds a great deal of emotion. And this can be good, bad, ugly depending upon the circumstances one finds themselves dealing with at the time.
Most families are dysfunctional when it comes to their emotions. And all have their own agenda to servce. Very few come together to try and make it good for all. If everyone in a family was doing that, there would be less stress over Christmas and more joy.
