Merriweather: Hi Epirb...

I have a front yard full of flowers at the moment...

The jonquils are out and gorgeous, the winter roses are blooming, and the queens annes lace is showing, the camellias are out.. bright red... and the lilies are out.. purple.. and to my surprise, I came home tonight, and the creeping bush right by the front door, is just overflowing with flowers..

More to come as the poppies grow, and more and more daffodils show.. I planted heaps of bulbs earlier.. so should be a good show from now til Christmas..
Lilies are just unfolding now with five blooms out . All growing wild along with the daffs . Only other color apart from the hawthorn would be the gorse flowering twice a year making one hill side completely yellow . Put a stop to that late last autumn ......for a while ....... I hope ........fingers crossed .

Yes, you were saying a while ago, that you intended ridding the gorse..

Should be a beautiful sight with your flora and fauna about.. up your way..when I was in the hills of the Peak District in UK.. the daffs were growing wild all over... it looked so pretty.

Think this thread is going to finish soon..

Have a happy day... cheerswave

On a farm that God had forsaken that I used to work for when I first started work had a patch of red hot pokers planted inside a fenced off bit above a bad creek .Miles from any house or past habitation , they were just there .

Have had my so-called 3 call-ups for jury duty. First time was a "no-show" by the guilty party, 2nd time (Bikie Wars in Sydney) I was away in Adelaide for the very first Aust Grand Prix (very much enjoyed my time there even though the locals hated it - the Grand Prix I mean) and the third time the Prosecutor knocked me back for some obscure reason (long hair and a beard????) even though I did figure that the lebonese drug dealer was really guilty and would have given him my vote for Guilty no matter what was said.

Probably got off because his Aunt's 3rd cousin by marriage has a daughter who is married to someone whose brother-in-law's 4th cousin was only peddling drugs to support his fight against those of a heathen faith and came from a country where that was the norm. "Oh," says his lawyer, "My client was not aware that this was not an offence in this country. Please slap him on his wrist as he does promise not to be caught re-affend again."

Nothing so high profile for us I'm afraid......just a dispute between neighbours. dunno

Apparently we can't be called up for another three years. I'm hoping I have a legitimate excuse if I get called again. Wasn't an enjoyable experience at all. doh
