What bad habits get your goat...I was out shopping earlier with my youngest son and sitting in a cafe waiting for our food and the guy right in my line of vision when I looked up is biting his nails dowm to the cuticle...nonstop...even when his food arrived he was biting away in btwn fs...I am irrational when it comes to nail biting...It turns my stomach...I cld see the skin at the top of his fingers was chewed away...I felt a bit sick....My kid went thru a stage of that a cpl yrs ago and I coated his nails in that foul tasting crap till he stopped....Its just a habit that makes me feel physically sick, silly as it sounds....What bad habits turn your stomach or gets your goat :)

The lack of courtisy that is shown....

I grew up in a time where good manners and courtious behaviour were accepted 'norms', it galls me now to see how little respect and tollerance are afforded to those who deserve it most....

Evidance is even present on this site on occasions with bullish behaviour, where an agreement to have differing opinions is less acceptable than 'personal agrandisment' and point scoring....

Somewhere along the line, the simple act of being 'mannerly' has fallen by the weyside, and i for one miss it!....

AB....conversing....

Good thread Jenny, perhaps it will connect with many, i do hope so!....

lol...maybe so, maybe it wasnt the potions that stopped my son chewing but my constant nagging...I went on and on and on...I never let up till he stopped...Maybe it was the power of a nagging bad tempered aul wan of a mother that stopped him eventually...wink

I eat pens, and nails. Always have done. The pens thing was ridiculous when I was in school. I also swear a lot informally. That's a real bad habit when it slips into the formal setting, like work or with doctors and dentists or those type of places. uh oh

I swear quite frequently as well, but seem to have an off switch when needed...for eg rare to swear in my mothers, not a conscious thing just doesnt slip out...Tho lately hv made a concerted effort to stop and dont ever in front of my son...Didnt even realise I was sometimes till he called me to tell me the dickhead was on telly again....It was Enda Kenny roll eyes

Ppl who slowly pack their shopping and then slowly start rooting for their money, spend about 5 minutes looking for the odd change and then discover they dont have it frustrated
