I see that most of the guys here in CS have no job, are unemployed but on their profile they are not sincere and they write that they work for XXX and they make a lot of money but when I chat with them they say they have no job for now or they will have a job soon or they were going to quit job or they were just being fired from job and bla, bla, bla... Why not to put on their profile that they are unemployed and make 0 dollars per year? and even so they pretend to have a long distance relationship, or do they pretend that women should make the first move and pay them money? I'm wondering if that kind of guys are looking for a woman who will works for them or what?? I'm not a selfish and I don't pretend that the man should work for me, I'm a person who think that both should work and should share house duties and expenses together. On the other hand, men that have a job are usually married and are playing here. So what's going on with men here?

Maybe next time you chat with a man ask them why they don't put that they're unemployed in their profile.

Count your blessings. Not all are so lucky.

In answer to why they lie about employment? I have no clue, can't start a relationship off with THAT as a lie or any lie for that matter. It's a sad world right now. When people go to fill out their profiles, they are wanting themselves to look good is all I can think of, so they write they have this wonderful job, instead of looking like a looser. Well in the end they are even worse off as they look like a liar not a loser without a job.

I only look at their occupation to see if it says: Engineer (now that is a loser as it's always a scammer!).

Good luck.

Well along with the OP you certainly have a low opinion of men on CS.

The incidence of unemployed men is probably the same on CS as in the general population.

And what have you got against engineers, it covers a wide range of jobs some o them very well paid.

I don't think you endear yourself to men with your judgemental posts.

In fact you don't appear to want to give men a chance at all, still no loss to the sincere male

thumbs up I would rather date an honest unemployed guy than a liar any day, as long as he is actively looking for work.

As for engineers, if it is an American profile, you are probably right, but if it's a profile from India, it's probably true.

I wonder if the OP hasn't got the hang of the scammer thing and is responding to mail and then getting the hard luck story (I was made redundant, send me money urgently for my granny who's contracted anthrax), or if the OP is too focussed upon finances.

If she's asking straight away and then rejecting based upon finances, I dare say she'll have a lot of contact with a lot of members on a superficial level.

I can't say I've asked anyone what they do for a living unless it crops up in conversation (like, "I'm off to work shortly") and then only out of curiosity based upon where their talents lie, how they think and how contented they are.

I would have thought it was more important to like someone and then work out how you can be together. You can always make lifestyle changes, or find ways of making extra cash, but if you don't like each other there's not a helluva lot you can do about that.

MANY of the men MAY be unemployed. For a great deal of them, that could also be due to the worldwide recession, and the lack of steady work.
Cutbacks in almost ALL fields of employment are hitting hard universally.
I myself AM unemployed. Though I never expected to be. I just wish I WAS able to find work, but as I underwent heart surgery earlier this year, I am now deemed unfit for serious long term employment. I DO have light part time work, but THAT doesn't really help.
(Not exactly a good catch for ANY woman I guess).
I don't claim to be what I'm not. Why lie? The truth always comes out anyway!!!
When I was married, I stayed at home as a house husband while my (ex) wife worked. (Big mistake)
Married men (AND women) In some cases they are also unemployed. (Works both ways) who are here, or on ANY dating site for that matter have nothing better to do.
Just looking for a bit of excitement I suppose.
I know that as I myself live thousands of miles away from 99.9% of available matches, all that any of the contacts I meet here will be is just long distance (Email/Pen pal) friends
