In response to: ladies there's one thing i need to know , why do alot women of all ages wear make up. personally i only go for women who dont wear make up at all which shows me she doesn't worry about her image so much and she is not afraid to show her natural beauty instead of fake beauty. do you wear make up for insecurities, the media influence or just for confidence. to me its a mystery as to why and the reality of makeup is that its just all fake

I wear some makeup cause I think I look good not cause I'm insecure.I'm very secure.I'm a very strong woman.

I've never let the media be an influence in my life whether it be makeup or clothing.I dress to please me and only me.

If a man chooses not to have anything to do with me just because it's my choice to wear makeup then I wouldn't want him part of my life anyway.

A woman has the right to wear makeup just like you have the very same right not to go for a woman who chooses to wear makeup etc.

mucki: Make-Up makes me feel fresher. Like my dyed hair. Not younger...just more colorful, more vibrant. And...as my second pic shows, I have absolutely no problem to show myself with natural hair. Sometimes bright, sometimes subdued...like my personality.

Yes, bellisima senora and sometimes it is secretive and powerful. I love a woman in make up. It's an affirmation of your feminine power, a statement of so you are...

We wear it because we can. Some women wear it to boost their confidence or to his blemishes.
I personally only use the minimum. As you can see, my face is very pale.
The same argument could be put to men as to why they feel the need to spend ages in the gym building muscles, they're never likely to use apart from posing with.

To wear make-up,is a form of concealment, wich lead to deceitfulness !
It's a claim under the wrong pretencess,as for e.g.wrap the crap n sell it for gold !professor

You believe that rubbish? You honestly think that women trowel it on thick enough like plaster to hide cracks?
It's an enhancement if done correctly.

To each their own, but here's what always persuaded me to leave the make-up pot alone:

Let's say you're all made up, looking grand and you land this fantastic guy. At some point, he will see you without it in the morning laugh Wouldn't you be embarrassed when the man looks at you like he's just woken up next to a different person?

We all know that make-up can make a huge difference in appearance (look at the actors or models with and without it).

My other reason is that I've seen several docus about what make-up actually is (the components, testing, manufacturing, safety rules, etc.) They're in German, otherwise I'd post them. Let's say it isn't what the advertisers tell us.

I do agree with you to a degree. I've also seen some of the documentaries on what make up consists of,and it is pretty scary, look at a lot of other products we humans use all for enhancing and hygiene purposes ect. Perhaps making mention of the Ancient Egyptians again lol and looking at the more natural alternatives.

Basically a lot of make up isn't what the advertisers tell us we know. The enormous amount that is spent to look more youth full,I personally prefer not to use concealers or foundations mainly because they can enhance the fine lines and make the skin appear much older, obviously on more mature skin. Where as I personally do like wearing make up on occasions,I still believe it should accentuate a woman's beauty not define it. As they say less is more,I was always taught to look after my skin more importantly before anything else.

I'm not someone who wears a lot of makeup, and I don't care what other women do: it's up to them. But this argument that makeup is bad for your skin is false. If you buy cheap crap, yes it probably can be bad for your skin. If you are buying good quality makeup, and you looking into what is in it, you will find it is not bad for your skin. For example, what I use is made completely from natural ingredients. It's quite expensive, but I'm worth it, and at my age, my skin looks better than most--I've been told this many times, spontaneously. In fact, I have been asked what I use and know specific women who have changed to my brand because of how my skin looks, the makeup and skin care line I use. So, makeup does not need to be bad for your skin.

As far as a new guy being surprised by how you look without makeup, if you've been taking care of your skin, and if you don't over do it with makeup, it isn't going to be an issue. I read on a thread in another web site that men regularly say they are used to the difference and it is not a big issue with them.
