Thanks all nearly everyone in W.A. has air conditioning which makes it way easier to get through heat wave and we have enough during our hot summers
But after a few days that can become annoying shut indoors so a lot of people go to the shopping centers to just walk around keep busy. Work is out of the question until heat wave is over & me being outdoorsy worker too old to be out working in heat now.

Sooky la-la! And what’s wrong with a black roof? There are five new houses have gone up this year all with a black roof? On my street, but four of them are tin roofs? Only one of them copied my colour selections, I have tan bellow the gutters on the roof, but the gutters are black, it’s a very appealing look! Especially with the limestone colour bricks and black vinyl verticals, looks like dark tinted windows! Ok the house is one degree hotter in summer but five degree warmer inside in winter!
I work outdoors all day! But I am in an air-con truck all day! Unless it stops working, then I am a in an office until the mechanic fixes the air-con! Or truck! And we have the crappy trucks that know one else drives in our job, because they overheat as soon as it gets to 26deg? A few people lost there job over that now. So we are getting better trucks,

Our weather is nuts, days in the mid-high 30s dropping to low 20s with cold nights (dug out the flanny pjs the other night
)Sunday and Christmas Eve were very hot and humid, Christmas Day was the wettest in over 70 years, cold and windy.
Howling wind all this afternoon, still blowing a gale this evening ... craaaazy.

I got home last night after 6 days down the GCoast and had flanny pjs and doona,
Kids said they were so cold last night.we are high in the mt and its raining as well.

They predict right into next Thursday will be in the 40's then it will drop to mid 30's
It's great having air con with heat wave but being indoors is sooo boring. I am going to the city tomorrow to visit my son got to get out and about. At the moment it is very still and cooler a tad I have been sitting out on my patio reading just nice being outdoors

Hmmm, it's going to be around for some time. I was at CBD a few times this week and luckily everything is air conditioned inside otherwise it would be unbearable.

Morning Kirsta and everyone yes that is what's happening here in the west my air con has been running 24/7 we sure are gunna have a wopper electric bill
still rather that than not having air con at least I slept well. Looks like work will be out of the question until late next week rang peeps I work for and they are kool and wouldn't expect me in this heat wave. Be glad to be back outdoors again even though I am semi retired glad I am still out there being useful.
Glad also we aren't in the old days of no air in houses or cars I am going to my sons to the city today need to go do something rather than sit at home sick of shops so go visit family
It's all good I shouldn't grumble a heat wave is minor to what some poor people go through with natural disasters around the world. Just hope everyone stays as cool as possible and drink heaps & looks after the oldies and babies.
