Actually, men don't usually complain IMO. And the reason is they don't want to open the door to a discussion with a complaint because they are afraid she will never shut up.
When a woman opens the door to a discussion with a complaint he yes's her to death because he just doesn't want to get into a two hour discussion of why he didn't take the garbage out.
However, men will argue if they think a woman has done something suspicious, i.e. unexplained entries in the check register; she wasn't where she said she would be; she didn't have dinner on the table at a certain time, etc. Usually men that are controlling are the ones who argue.
Women nag....men argue...
