Ever wondered why the Chinese are called Yellow and the Russions Red?

Goes back to Genghis Khan days. When he had conquered most of Asia, he found it too much for himself to look after everything. He appointed his 3 sons to look after the 3 kingdoms.

China was called the Yellow Kingdom.
Ukraine and central areas was the Red Kingdom.
Northern India was the Green Kingdom.

At that time, Russia was not considered being worth conquering as the Russ tribes barely managed to scrape a living and had nothing worth taking. It was much later that Russia became a lot better and eventually became the White Kingdom.

oh come on wash he never went to India and half of Russia recognized mongol rule

copy and paste
The Mongol Empire of Genghis Khan was similar in size to that of Alexander. It stretched across Asia to Central Europe. It was the largest contiguous and second largest empire in world history, five times greater than the Macedonian Empire, much larger than the Persian Empire and Roman Empire, and twice as large as the Arab Empire. The Empire of Genghis Khan was four times larger than that of Alexander the Great. So figure about 8,000,000 square miles. I exclude the successors of Genghis since they built on what he had already conquered."

His empire included all or most of Afghanistan, Armenia, Georgia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan, and part of China, Iraq, Pakistan, and Russia.

a active map that changes showing his moves

Today there is only one country promotes Gross National Happiness
In its approach to modernization Bhutan's leadership is attempting to balance the need for economic growth with other political, social, environmental and spiritual concerns. Gross National Happiness was articulated as a unifying concept to indicate that development has many more dimensions than those associated with Gross National Product. This approach to development is clearly evidenced in government policy.

Bhutan, as part of the traditional loosely linked Himalayan Diaspora, has historically witnessed a minimal degree of external interaction.

It has a long history which according to < >includes
1. 8th Century - visit of Guru Rinpoche (the second Buddha) and spread of Buddhism
2. 17th Century - political and religious unification under Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal
3. 1907 - Ugyen Wangchuck elected as First King of Bhutan
4. 1961 - Bhutan emerges from self-imposed isolation and begins the process of modernization

an interesting incite into the only Mahayana Buddhist county left in the world today

Yes but not long after that we had the dark ages, where the Vikings took over Britten or the UK now, placed a king on the thrown of England and invaded Russia, landed in north America for settlements,

And the funny thing is the Poms still think they are blue blood? With their royal family? Although Charles has the ears that look like a Viking helmet, he is not really English now is he?

I think its time to finish what Cornwall started and end the poverty in England by giving the government off the people back the land that was forcefully taken off the people all hose years ago!
professor cool cheers

English history is very weird. Many peoples from Europe crossed the Channel and settled there. The Romans managed to get there and tried to "civilise" the place. They built Hadrians Wall to try and stop the Picts. Didn't work. Even the Irish had trouble putting up with them when they tried to settle there.

The words ending with _uck are from the Fresian language and this was the basis of the common English language. The Angles and Saxons took over a lot of the south-east of England. The Vikings were an odd lot. They were usually after plunder and for many years held the north east of England with Hull being their main stronghold. But the many different peoples of England did manage to combine, mainly the Saxons, to fight them off. King Canute of Denmark (?) is the only king not buried in his rightful kingdom, buried in England. He had declared himself King of England but only had about 1/3 of the England of today. King Harold managed to be king of a bit more but Duke William of Normandy managed to defeat the English Army and became King of England.

And this is the weird bit. William had the Dukedom of Normandy but owed allegiance to the King of France. Normandy had a much stronger army and much more wealth than France at the time. And France then was only a relatively small area around Paris, not as large as we know it today. So William becoming the King of England actually made him the titular equal of the King of France.

If you look at some of the timelines, William, and later Richard and John, controlled Normandy, England, Wales, Ireland, the coast of what is now France, parts of Spain, Corsica, Sardinia, Sicily and southern Italy all the way to Naples. And then Richard went on the Crusades and added Palestine to his claims.
