GUZMAN1: If a doctor has to choose between mother's live or the lives of mother and child is not murder, in my opinion.
In other cases is.

I was hoping that the topic of your thread was that hundreds of thousands would be marching on D.C. in defense of their outrage of:

1) the Fiscal Cliff "solution", and...
2) Congress received siginificant pay raises. Maybe it's just me; maybe I'm just the only one confused here; I don't understand how a group of people that make over $200,000.00 a year accept (expect) a pay raise, when they themselves are working hard to avoid this Fiscal Cliff.

Maybe while those people are there maybe they'll also be outraged about making our public places safer as well.

Scubadiva: Just what we need. 56 Million children that nobody wants to take care of; half of which will end up on drugs and welfare; most in foster homes and a burden on the system.

Perhaps these protesters all came to CD with a piece of paper in hand where they swear that they each will adopt such an unwanted child, but I bet they don't.. because they also don't want to take care of those kids.

Until the anti-abortionists are prepared to adopt a child (and not front some phony excuses), they are nothing more than hypocrites.

Just what we need. 56 Million children that nobody wants to take care of;Responsibility and life begin at conception.”so you are saying it is alright to murder an innocent baby becuase the persons who greated that life can't take responsibility for there actions.

This is a photo listing of the adoption website for the state of New Jersey. Look at the ages of these children! How about a handicapped child? or a child that has been born to a drug addicted mother or father or one that has been shoved around the system for a few years.

Yes.. put them up for adoption.. great idea...

How would the 56 million children have ended up on drugs, welfare or in foster homes?
That is a sweeping statement! Back it up please!

Religion shouldn't haven't anything to do with this topic. But somehow our political figures and the ones going to protest in Washington will find a way to bring it in.

I've never relied on religion in how/what I believe even though my mother chose to have me baptized a Catholic.I feel the whole Catholic belief is a bunch of messed up mess.

stringman: yes I understand what you are saying. but would it not be better to give the baby up for adoption than to murder it.

interesting question and the answer is no.

And murder - really? every time a soldier goes to war he/she is asked to potentially commit a government sanctioned murder.

However, in this debate - I say - anyone has the right to express their opinion in a march or peaceful demonstration on Washington.

However, sometimes these thing go so much farther that they blow up clinics, threaten doctors, scare women - create havoc because of some personal issues about other people's rights. Let the supreme court rule - they are not swayed by the mob they are moved by the laws.

mr1983: It is more about who they are marching for not against! You were a member of the unborn once. Are you happy that laws protected your rights then?
Actually my birth mother had the courage and the guts to put me up for adoption. BTW, when you are marching FOR the unborn, you need to be marching against those who want it. Sadly todays society isn't about responsibility it is the I don't care attitude. Scary huh?
