snagsmoore: I am not sure how gun toting citizens and armed forces really have in common other than the fact it makes an easy correlation for your argument, it is hardly the same. Last time I heard any news reports, I didn't hear of any military people holding up the 7/11. We are supposed to be allies in world events, but if sprouting the history of the wars and spooning with your gun helps you sleep at night, knock yourself out. I don't mean to ever put your royalty down as much as I do the mindset of Brits for tolerating your "royaly". Why should the British monarchy live the rich life they do while others suffer.
Is the British royalty better than anyone else in Britain? I don't think so. That royalty, IMO, is useless. Someone in the forums once said that the royalty brings in millions of dollars more than it cost to allow them to live their royal lives. So, why don't you have 10 royal families if that is true? And you even celebrate a picture taking day for them. That's just crazy in this day and age. IMO.

why not respect yourselves instead, and kick the bums to the street? There has to be a better more meaningful way to earn money than to put some people on a pedestal while most others there suffer. If because finding this backwards is saying I have a closed mind, so be it. By the way, do you guys still celebrate our 4th of July Independence day?
