Understanding the Laws of Karma was a revelation to me. I'd spent most of my life in pain and most of my relationships were a walking disaster. They would start off ok, but then it was usualy all downhill from there.
Then I recognised the ripple effect operating in my life and realised it was me, I'm doing this to me. I'm getting back what I put out.
Through meditation and awareness I learned to be very careful about my thoughts and attitudes towards others.
Now I make sure I don't absorb others pain. I accept them, but I don't consume their negative energy. I don't take it personally when someone criticises me or attacks me verbally. Intellectually I know their attack on me is really an attack on themselves, it's difficult at times, but I'm getting there.
Now I know what is a secret to many people, my inner and outer destiny is always in my own hands.
