CHOLENA: The US needs both a national health care system and a strict gun law badly. In Europe, neither strict gun laws nor national health care has failed, neither has it failed in Canada and other Western countries. You are not well informed about the rest of the world. Europe is going through economic problems, as is the US. It is because the recession is world wide, not because the national health care systems in Europe have failed.
The US needs to solve its own problems. It does not need foreign nationals attempting to tell us what we need. We do not need to be well informed about the rest of the world to solve these domestic issues, we need to maintain our own sovereignty in the face of so many globalist minded individuals who think they know what's best for us, but don't have to live with the consequences of those possibly well-intended, but ultimately naive arguments from ignorance.
This is not a binary solution "we need/we don't need". There are third options, none of which will originate in the mind of Foreign Nationals. They will arise from people who will actually have to live with the unintended consequences of those solutions.
I respect your opinion. I just don't think your vision of what America needs is as cut and dried as you present them. Nor will you have to pay for them, from your tax euro.

You should know me well enough by now CC to know that I do not agree with US Imperialism. I have never agreed with the platform that we should be the world police, or that we should tell other countries how to live.

I guess I'm just getting a little burnt out of people either from the US or any other country fighting among each other over these gun issues.
The only purpose these kinds of threads have caused is a division between some of the people on this site.
It just seems to me that some people have their own agendas in regards to the gun issue and if another country here should voice a difference of opinion they're treated unkind.
You have to admit there have been a lot of shootings in this country almost every time one turns around. This is getting rediculous and has to stop. It's obvious the rest of the world isn't blind and knows all to well what's going on here.
The other night Merrieweather who's a very sweet lady posted a thread and some people got their hackles up cause of the way she titled the thread.I could tell that she meant no harm to anyone on here.Especially to anyone in the US.

But according to the Bush Doctrine The US can invade any country that we think might be planning to attack us. A "Pre-emtive Strike" so to speak.
CHOLENA: I predict any new legislation on gun laws will be like the new health care bill. Both gun laws and national health care are things the US needs badly and that all other modern Western cultures have. But the US people are not sane enough to put something reasonable together, so your leaders will have to compromise and you will end up with a half assed program that satisfies no one.
thats how i feel about the US government, i really dont like them owning so many guns

Ccincy: Obama admitting he's at fault.Oh my failing heart. If a political figure ever admitted they were wrong or took blame now that would be one of the 7 wonders of the world.
